So tell us about yourself and your brand?

- I, Chelsea Arruda, started Electrikk Clothing in 2008. I’ve loved t-shirts my entire life, I was always one of those chicks that you could never get in a dress. I could never leave the mall without buying a t-shirt, it was my little obsession. I knew almost every clothing line out there that sold cool graphic t-shirts, and one day I just imaged how cool it would be to have my own designs on t-shirts as well. From that day I tried my best to learn and find out how to go about it. I came up with the name Electrikk because it fits our clothing. Our bright electro scene can be seen throughout our clothing in the online store.

How did you come up with the name?

- Electro is another obsession of mine. Electro music and the scene is so fun, crazy and colorful, which can be scene in a majority of the designs in the store. The word electric is defined as something thrilling, to be original we took out the c and added two k’s. Electrikk Clothing is most definitely thrilling, just see for yourself!

What best describes your line & who is it targeted to?

- Fun, colorful and exciting definitely describes out line. Electrikk targets all the electro/club kids, men, & woman out there!

What influenced you to start this line?

- Like I mentioned before, I’ve loved t-shirts my entire life, I just imaged how cool it would be to have my own designs on t-shirts. I mean, How cool is that?!?

How is your brand different from others out there?

- You don’t find many companies out there that really have any bright clothing. Electrikk brings that to the designs and clothing. The designs are also unique in that they are simple, but fun and creative.

Are there any challenges you run into while running a business?

- Certainly. While running a business you will always run into challenges, and still learn every step of the way. Always be positive and confident in what your doing.

What ways did you find promoting your brand worked?

- Definitely sponsoring musicians. I love all of the Electrikk sponsors and they have helped us a long way. Social networks also help a ton! Keep in touch with your fans, no one likes to be ignored.

Are there any plans for your line?

- Of course! We are always trying to come up with new ideas to make Electrikk even better. Keep up with the latest updates and events on our website and new and improved blog!
