So tell us a little bit about yourself?

- My name is JOONIE and I am a producer, singer, songwriter, musician. I’ve been doing music since the age of 9. I’m originally from Jacksonville, North Carolina and was raised in the Seattle, Washington area. Since then I have been In LA for the past 5 or 6 years. I grew up performing and doing music in the church before moving into R&B.

What inspired you to start singing?

- I didn’t have anyone to demo the songs I’d produce so I had no chose but to sing them myself. The more I did it, the more I would inspire myself and I began to fall in love with singing.

Were there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

- As a indie artist in the industry everyday is a challenge to get this great music I’ve been blessed with into the hands of people who really need it. You’ll never see me sweat though because challenges are made to be conquered.

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

- I would have to say the internet, shows, word of mouth etc. but I think the best way as an Indie artist would be to connect with the fans because if they enjoy me, they’ll get the word out.

What would be your most memorable moment while singing?

- Most memorable? I have had a lot of memorable experiences but probably performing and hearing people sing along. I’ve had great career moments touring the world and being able to see different places. Performing on big stages with people. But even performing in a smaller venue, when people sing along and know the lyrics I think that is the best part.

If there was one song you would have to say is your favorite what would it be?
Well, for the record I don’t have a favorite however, “Delilah” has been in heavy rotation this month.

What can we expect from you in the future?

- You can expect more great music and definitely expect to see more of me.

Is there any upcoming albums you are releasing?

- I’ve always got something cooking but the album to get right now would be my debut album “Acoustic Love”. You won’t regret it!

What do you think of Fkn Famous?

- Fkn Famous is a great concept and really ties together all urban entertainment – be it fashion, modeling, music. I also really like the layout of the site. Clean and Crisp!
