So tell us a little bit about yourself?

- I’m a young, gifted recording artist from the south side of Chicago. My father was a singer in his hay day, so the musical genes are hereditary.

What inspired you to start singing?

- I was always a fan of music, and just the thought of me creating something that I enjoy so much seemed to have a firm grasp on me.

Was there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

- As far as challenges go , I feel like I face a lot. I think in today’s market your image is sold more than your actual music is. I’m not a fan of a lot of music in the (hip-hop) genre in this day and age. Negativity spreads faster than anything positive, and I would consider myself to be a fairly positive artist, in terms of content. Also, being from Chicago, where a lot of musicians don’t make it out, because of the politics and hatred. So I would say there are a lot of challenges that I will have to face, but I’m ready for it.

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

- I’ve found the best and most effective way to promote myself is an artist, is to travel. Get away from home base and show your face in other states and areas where people aren’t familiar with you or your music.

What would be your most memorable moment while singing?

- One of my most memorable moments would have to be singing my first autograph. The fact that anyody wanted my autograph was strange to me, but it put a smile on my face.

If there was one song you would have to say is your favorite what would it be?

- My favorite song of mine would have to be “Right Around Winter.” It was the last song actually recorded for my latest mixtape, so I felt at home with my style.

What can we expect from you in the future?

- You can expect a lot more good music.

Is there any upcoming albums you are releasing?

- I plan on releasing my debut album sometime in 2011. No officially date yet though, but maybe another mixtape or two in between time.

- I want to give a shoutout to any and everyone that supports my music.
