So tell us a little bit about yourself?

– My name is Malik Ferraud. I’m what you would call a multi-talented songwriter/hip-hop artist/singer. I represent the state with dank weed & natty bohs; Maryland. My goal is to not only make it in this music industry but, to be a legend. I focus on making great diverse music that I hope can last a lifetime. To me it’s not about living forever but, creating something that will.

What inspired you to start singing?

– What inspired me to make music was at first to find a hobby other then sports to entertain me. But, at the age of 11 clearly that was difficult so I started to write little raps about those same sports that would entertain me. When I tuned 15 I began to take music serious and realized I could possibly make something out of this. I started reading business books, focused on writing a song everyday (literally), and began to share my music to people. Now at the age of 20 I can’t stop, and refuse to give up. With some solid supporters behind me, I’m only getting better.

Were there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

– I think hard challenges can come with anything you do. You have to stay focused and do your best to adapt to situations that may not go your way. In my case this is all the fuckin’ time but, you learn from mistakes and it only makes you more intelligent in this business. Honestly tho, I feel like ‘hard challenges’ in this music business is an understatement. I say this because when you’re dealing with money, emotions, opinions, and people’s livelihood then shit can definitely be frustrating.

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

– I find the best ways to promote myself is the Internet. Whether its facebook, twitter, tumblr, blogs, videos, pretty much anything viral is a great way to promote. But, I do feel like I am one of the last few artists who are actually handing out CDs, interacting with supporters at a friendship level, and making sure to greet everyone after a show.

What would be your most memorable moment while singing?

– My most memorable moment as an artist thus far would have to be everything. I say this because at first it all started as a hobby, something for fun. Now being a little bit deeper in the industry it’s a lot more then that and for me to be able to do something I love to express myself I wouldn’t change for anything. Although I do feel like my most memorable moment of all time hasn’t arrived for me just yet.

Are there any goals that you would like to achieve?

– Theirs a lot of goals I would love to achieve man, really to many to name. But, one thing I know for sure is with hard work, dedication, and the drive to never give up.. all of my goals can and will be achieved.

What can we expect from you in the future?

– In the future you can expect great music, a lot of music videos, consistent song after songs, and more importantly my passion too not do this for anything other then the sake of music.

Are there any upcoming albums you are releasing?

– My next project is being released at the top of the year. The mix-tape is titled Lyrical Mastermind and right now the music is all finished just looking for a DJ to host the mix-tape to help it go viral.

What do you think of FKN Famous?

– I think FKN famous is a very, very dope ass website. It gives the opportunity for upcoming artist as myself to touch a new platform of fans. I dig everything about it and wouldn’t change a thing. One suggestion tho, it needs more Malik Ferraud! haha.

Any last shout outs?

– Yea I want to shout out all the people who show me love, listen to my music, and support me. Big ups to FKN famous for this opportunity. Also, shout out to anyone who FKN reads this because this won’t be the last time you hear Malik Ferraud.
