Adonit Writer Plus Review

Earlier last week we received a very unique product from a company called Adonit. We were first introduced to Adonit during the week of Macworld/iWorld. Adonit was very kind enough to send us one of their latest product to get a closer look at and conduct this in-depth product review. With that being said, we would personally like to thank Adonit for this awesome opportunity!

So let’s kick things off with a little more info about “Adonit”. “Adonit is a brand that focuses on those Apple customers that are looking to expand the fashion and function options for their iPad accessories. Born from its co-founders’ personal love of gadgets and a market’s lack of accessory options that are technologically capable and of quality build, Adonit’s main goal is to provide customers with a product that compliments the iPad, extends its functionality and provides the customer the ability to express their individual style.” Now before we start the review, I would personally like to thank the staff over at “Adonit” for sending us over this package. Giving us the opportunity to deliver this in-depth product review! We hope that you enjoy it. The package was great, now let’s start the review shall we!

Product Review :

- Packaging : Let’s start off with the packaging. So Adonit sent us the package via FedEx. As always FedEx is a great affordable way of shipping. The package got here very fast and on time. Inside the box we were greeted by the Adonit Writer Plus. The packaging on the Adonit Writer Plus was very unique. It has some awesome detail to the packaging as well as some useful information. Overall Adonit did a great job with the packaging and presentation of the product.

- Extras : There wasn’t really any extras such as a business card, flier, etc. Which was perfectly fine, maybe in the future they will look into including some. Aside from that included in the actual packaging was a instruction manual on how to use the product as well as a USB cord to charge the keyboard.

- Design : The design of the Adonit Writer Plus was pretty unique. I really love what Adonit came up with, this is a great device. It’s very easy to install on iPad as well as it’s very easy to detach the iPad as well. Another awesome feature is that the keyboard is detachable, so that you can use it in a comfortable position. The case is also has a magnetic side to it, so that you can stand up the iPad easily with the keyboard, as well as close it when it’s not in use keeping your keyboard and ipad safely secured. The Adonit Writer Plus conserves battery when an auto wake/sleep functionality for your keyboard and iPad. The Adonit Writer Plus is very easy to use; the buttons are very user friendly. The Adonit Writer Plus doesn’t require any batteries; all you got to do is charge it with the USB an it can last up to 2 weeks with normal use. Overall Adonit did a outstanding job on this product inside and out!

- Quality : The overall quality of the Adonit Writer Plus was pretty solid. This is a very unique and useful product to have, especially if you use your iPad to browse and type a lot. The quality of the keyboard is superb; it’s almost like typing on a Macbook Unibody or iMac. Adonit, definitely did a great job with this product. With that being said, FKN Famous would highly recommend anyone with an iPad to get an Adonit Writer Plus. You will definitely love this product. Can’t wait to see what Adonit will have in store next!

- Pricing : Last but definitely not least we like to end things with the overall pricing for the product. So the Writer Plus on the Adonit website runs for about $99.99 for the standard black color. If you are looking to be a little different, the Writer Plus also comes in 2 different colors which is Red and Turquoise and runs for $109.99. Both prices are still very affordable for a very unique product like this. You are definitely getting your money’s worth with this device. So definitely look into getting on in the future. You won’t be disappointed.
