Beastie Boys MCA Passes Away
It’s a sad day in the music industry today as we lost another great emcee. Adam Yauch, known by his emcee moniker MCA and member of storied hip-hop trio The Beastie Boys, has passed away tragically at the age of 47, after a three year battle with cancer.

Known not only for his incredible work as a musician, Yauch directed many of The Beastie Boys’ music videos under the pseudonym Nathaniel Hornblower, as well as for his video collective Oscilloscope Pictures, which had notable releases that included Gunnin’ for #1 Spot, Wendy and Lucy, We Need to Talk About Kevin and the forthcoming LCD Soundsystem documentary Shut Up and Play the Hits.
