Around the same time last year we introduced you to the Nintendo’s Wii U. Well with the E3 convention in full effect this week, Nintendo decided to make things official. Nintendo just introduced the Nintendo Wii U Gamepad. Feel free to share your inputs on the production looks!

The final version of Nintendo’s Wii U controller dubbed the “Gamepad” has made its debut online ahead of the video game juggernauts presentation at E3. In a video announcement featuring its president Satoru Iwata, he shows off the appropriately titled gadget that is meant for gaming as well as control of various devices, including one’s television, through infrared technology. Recalling a design that dates back to previous Nintendo controllers, the analog sticks have been moved further outwards and made clickable, while the back grip has been changed for optimum comfort. The other big revelation from Nintendo is “Miiverse” – described as a “brand-new network communication system that lets gamers from around the world share experiences, discuss games and discover new content.” While there are surely more big announcements on the horizon, many believe that this technology is a precursor to an immense Nintendo home theater experience.
