So tell us a little bit about yourself?

– We go by the names Rezrection & Hitman. Rezrection was born and raised in SJ his whole life. “I’m a chill dude living life day by day like everyone else trying to get their hustle on to make a living. Life ain’t easy, but then again, nobody said it was going to be, but we all are put on this earth for a purpose, and I believe mine is to make some real music” says Rezrection. Hitman was born in Frisco and was raised there until moving to Pacifica later on. ” I was always surrounded by hip hop at an early age when I would hang out with my cousins, and I immediately fell in love with it. I’m all about lyrics, so I treat every verse like its my last wether its coming up with a clever punchline or telling a story” says Hitman.

What inspired you to start rapping?

– “Poetry. It all started back in High school, when I was writing poetry for an after school program” says Rezrection. “The director who held the event read some of my poetry, liked it, and told me that I should consider pursuing something in music, and then well….the rest was history.” Hitman replies, “With me, it was watching music videos and seeing my favorite rappers performing live that inspired me to try it too.

Were there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

– “Dealing with people who were negative slowed me down, as well as pissed me the f**k off. Being affiliated with a group, or person , who was negative every time messes up your balance, and I ain’t got time for that BS” says Rezrection. “With me, it was waiting around for people who said they wanted to make music together” says Hitman. “When I started taking matters into my own hands, I was able to do what I wanted to which definitely helped me in the long run.”

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

– Social networking sites are definitely the best way to push our music out there. It definitely pays off to have fans that support you on these things! Live performances and passing out CD’s also helps since people get to play your songs right after you rock a show.

What would be your most memorable moment while rapping?

– Probably would have to be when we were on stage performing, looking at the audience members who were reacting to our punchlines . It is always an amazing feeling when you see the crowd react to your own s**t. It’s priceless.

Are there any goals that you would like to achieve?

– We want the world to know that no matter what race/color/culture/creed we are, we can still make good music. We aren’t your typical guys who rap about all that radio BS, so I think we have the ability to show the people that we are real MC’s who care about lyrics. Also, we hope to be able to continue making quality music as well as tour the world so that everyone can experience it.

What can we expect from you in the future?

– Expect to hear our names more in the near future, cause we ain’t stopping yet! You can also expect more mixtapes and a new album soon, so if there are any producers out there that want real MC’s to spit on their beats hit us up! We are always down to collab with new producers to make great music with.

Are there any upcoming albums you are releasing?

– Currently, we are still pushing our current mixtape titled “Combo Breaker,” but stay tuned because we are in the process of discussing another mixtape/album soon.

What do you think of FKN Famous?

– We think it’s a great website in getting features for people who are trying to make a name for themselves. Your site helps local artists like us get more love and exposes us to a much larger audience!

Any last shout outs?

– We would like to thank God first and foremost. Nothing would be possible without his glory/blessing. We would also like to shout out Nerobuta and Robert Morales for their help on the Combo Breaker mixtape cover as well as Ghambit and Mr. Sport for mixing down our tracks. And last but not least, shout outs to all of our family, friends, and fans who have supported us since day one. It’s much appreciated!
