So tell us a little bit about yourself?

- I am an award winning songwriter from Altadena, CA. I was signed to The Game’s Black Wall Street under the name XO and garnered a lot of my success from pushing my Mixtapes heavy and opening Game’s worldwide tour! I was featured on an episode of Love & HipHop with Somaya Reece, which at the time was the highest rated episode ever. I have worked with some of the games heaviest hitters such as Snoop, MC Eight, Game, Kelly Rowland, Teedra Moses, and Trina just to name a few.

What inspired you to start rapping?

- It started out as simply writing poetry. Hip=Hop is such a major influence period so I was influenced by it. I think every person coming-up wants to try to rap at some point. I think that when I played around with it, it just stuck…I realized I was good at it.

Were there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

- One of my biggest challenges or rather adjustments was just always following my heart. In this industry youre always pulled in different directions and will try to fill your head with things that you know aren’t true. No one will believe in yourself or project more than yourself, and I quickly came to that realization.

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

- Going door to door. The local record stores, barber shops, salons, mom & pop stores. Basically just touching people and giving them a feel for your personality. That does so much more than them just seeing a flyer or poster.

What would be your most memorable moment while rapping?

- Performing in front of thousands of people. My favorite show was in Paris, France and the venue was crazy packed. It was as if I was the 2nd coming of Christ. I’ve performed to 38 countries and done hundreds of shows but the Paris show was definitely the craziest.

Are there any goals that you would like to achieve?

- I’m achieving them now. I appreciate this ongoing journey and as long as I accomplish my short term goals, the long term ones will come.

What can we expect from you in the future?

- Expect more consistency, more visuals, and a lot more shows.

Are there any upcoming albums you are releasing?

- CAST AWAY is dropping in 2 days October 16. It will be available via iTunes primarily and Amazon. It describes my journey in a nutshell and who I really am. I know my dedicated fans will LOVE it and the new ones will be very impressed.

What do you think of FKN Famous?

- I think the site is dope! Very informative, original and has a classy sexy appeal to it. Sidenote: I need to meet that Hottie of the Week. LOL. But I always love to see blogs that are for the people and by the people and not run by the corporate machine…lol.

Any last shout outs?

- Shout out to Jesus because God has been really great to me. And everybody that has played a part in CAST AWAY!!
