So tell us a little bit about yourself. What inspired you to start fighting & how long had you been fighting for?

– I am 22 years old and grew up generally here in the Los Angeles area. I turned to boxing when I was seventeen and a senior in high school. I wasn’t on the best track and remember wanting to indulge myself in something positive. There was a Muay Thai gym by my house, so one day after school I headed over there and signed myself up immediately! I trained in Muay Thai for a year before I transitioning into Olympic Style Boxing.

Is there anything that sets you differently from other fighters out there?

– I definitely find my self unique in many ways. For one, I am in a very aggressive sport that I don’t really fit the image for. I’m probably the girliest boxer you ‘ll ever meet. I also feel like I have a natural talent when it comes to boxing. I listen well and learn quickly, but owe much of my success to my amazing coach. I have come a very long way in a very short amount of time and I think the heights I am going I reach in the next few years will impress many.

What ways have you found was the best way to promote yourself?

– I face hard challenges every day in this sport! So much that I’m 100 % sure that anything I attempt after boxing will be a piece of cake! You win, you lose, you make It to the top and then have to fight to stay there. It never gets easy!

Were there any hard challenges you had to face in the industry?

– In the last year I have realized the benefits of social networking and now, like most Americans, I’m addicted! It’s great tool to build a fan base and have a dialogue with those fans. I think the most beneficial promotional tool that I have had to date was the “one of a kind” campaign I recently did with Dr Pepper. When other companies believe in you it can be extremely motivating and humbling.

What were some of the craziest competitions you’ve competed in?

– I’d have to say the craziest competition I have been in thus far were the 2012 Olympic Trials. I fought six hard fights over a six day period. It was tough both physically and mentally. Unfortunately I lost in the finals by a few points and went on to London as the alternate. But it was a tournament I will never forget!

Are there any goals that you would like to achieve?

– There are SO many goals that I want and WILL achieve. Number one is making the 2016 Olympic Team. Then of course, winning GOLD. This is my my sole purpose and what gets me out of bed every day. After my Olympics dreams come to fruition I plan to own my own gym and athletic apparel line. But, who knows what else… I feel many doors will open for me over the next few years as I continue on my journey and can’t wait to see what happens next.

What can we expect from you in the future?

– Recently, I’ve been busy with media thanks to the Dr Pepper commercial, and I’m shooting the cover of Oxygen magazine later this month. Otherwise, you can expect plenty from me in the future, but definitely keep an eye out for me when 2016 rolls around. I plan on being in Rio representing Team USA.

What do you think of FKN Famous & how did you hear about us?

– I think it’s pretty random, yet very convenient considering you can tackle all your interests in one site!
