So tell us about your brand?

– Thread Workshop is a Los Angeles born, raised, and manufactured brand. We have dedicated our style, image and efforts towards people who we believe want the very best quality. Whether you are an artist, musician, or fashion connoisseur, we give you our very best. No matter what.

How did you come up with the name?

– We live in a world where we remain connected, or threaded in a sense. Whether it is by the power of our feelings, beliefs, or culture. Threadworkshop represents our idea that fashion can be utilized with that same ability and power. The world is everyone’s workshop, and this brand is our workshop. We use it to bring everyone together. To become threaded.

What were you doing before launching your brand?

– I was working as a creative director/designer in another street-wear/urban wear brand.

When did you begin thinking about launching your own clothing brand?

– Ever since I was growing up, I wanted to wear clothes that felt good and looked good. The opportunity finally presented itself, and I took advantage of it.

What best describes your line & who is it targeted to?

– Our line is made for the comforts of the street-wear industry. We are targeted towards the guys that want the high-end, European influenced look, with comfort and quality that they can rely on. Importantly for the young and hungry people who are passionate about what they do.

What influenced you to start this line?

– My family and my own will. We all reach a point in our lives where me must capitalize on the opportunities that we are given. Without the support or my wife, and my daughter, this might not have been worth it.

How is your brand different from others out there?

– I could be way off with this, but I feel that many brands out there are just making clothes, and trying to make a brand, and for the ultimate end game, make a bunch of money. Threadworkshop is derived from something more. Of course everything I listed above comes into play, but it never stops at that. Threadworkshop comes from my life and the entire world. We are influencing culture right here in Los Angeles. No better place to do it.

Are there any challenges you run into while running a business?

– Of course! Anything from every level. Whether it is in the pre-production and design department, sourcing fabrics and hitting deadlines, or in the accounting and sales departments. But basically we just do our best to stay reminded of what our goal is, and that gets us through all of the issues that we face.

What ways did you find promoting your brand worked?

– Well, the entire social media world has helped out tremendously. Also, networking in any way possible. Everyone you meet is a potential friend, colleague, or business partner. We all have something to offer, and to give. Meeting the right people helps out a lot. The key is to help people who can help you and vice versa.

Are there any future plans for your line?

– When starting a brand, for the most part, you are wanting and needing customers to give you a chance. This is not the easiest thing to handle, but going into next year, after customers and the world has experienced a little bit of Threadworkshop, we are expecting this relationship to switch and become more balanced. Customers and the world will be wanting and needing Threadworkshop just as much as we need them.

How did you hear about FKN Famous & what do you think of us?

– Not sure exactly, we just came across you guys naturally through the web and instagram. And we checked out a few editorials and interviews that you guys have presented. I love the clean look and the “no fucks” attitude.

Any last shout outs?

– I want to thank the “ordinary” individuals who are nothing but. Stay brilliant. Continue the journey. Keep culture alive. Remain threaded.
