International Scout II

International Scout II

Catching our attention on the interwebs this morning was this awesome International Scout II. The custom Scout II is set to hit the RM Sotheby’s Auction in Arizona later this month. The vehicle has received a slightly aggressive makeover, covered in a rich military-green coat. The SUV combines it’s military heritage with the vintage two-tone vibes from the ’70s.

Originally produced by International Harvester in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Scout series competed with the likes of Jeep, Land Rover, and Ford back in its day. The Scout II was the successor to the Travelall — a post-war consumer automobile designed in the early 1950s and served as a precursor for the future category of sport-utility vehicles.
